Pricing gets risky when a seller treats one old fee rate as permanent. Marketplace charges, payment costs, affiliate arrangements, ad plans, discounts, and shipping support can depend on the account, product category, campaign, and date. A better review keeps every rate visible and editable.
Begin with the cost stack
List the peso costs paid for one completed order:
- Product, ingredient, or acquisition cost
- Packaging, labels, and inserts
- Labor or handling allowance
- Seller-funded shipping amount
- Fixed voucher or discount
- Other known per-order costs
Use the same unit basis. If a box of labels supports 100 orders, calculate the cost per order instead of ignoring the box because it was bought in bulk.
Separate percentage costs
Keep percentage deductions in their own group. These may include platform, transaction, affiliate, ads, or other variable rates. Copy them from the current documents that apply to the business. Add a review date beside every assumption.
This separation matters because percentage costs grow with the selling price. Adding them as a fixed peso guess can distort both the break-even point and the expected margin.
Calculate two thresholds
The first threshold is the break-even price: the price that covers the entered costs but leaves no profit before tax. The second is the target price: the price designed to leave the chosen net margin after the entered costs.
A target net margin is different from a markup. Margin compares profit with selling price; markup compares profit with cost. Sellers should label which measure they are using so a team member does not confuse the two.
Stress-test the promotion
A discount reduces profit per sale. Estimate regular units and promo units separately, then compare total profit. Ask whether the expected extra orders are realistic and whether the business has enough cash, stock, and fulfillment capacity.
The result is still a scenario, not a forecast. Cancellations, returns, ad performance, inventory problems, and omitted costs can change the outcome.
Keep a dated record
Export or print the inputs and results. Save the fee or campaign documents used for the review. Recheck the price whenever costs, rates, discounts, or channels change.
PresyoSure PH provides a private offline screen for break-even, target price, profit per sale, and regular-versus-promo comparison. It keeps rate fields editable and does not upload pricing data.
The calculator is a planning tool, not tax, legal, accounting, or marketplace advice. It does not guarantee profit or sales.
